High School News:

This year our school will be participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring. Please remember to bring in your canned goods and money as our school attempts to tackle hunger in our local communities. For your convenience we have placed large bins for the canned goods outside of the CCA reception offices as well as near the stoplight on the first floor. We will be collecting these items up until Friday, February 4th. Remember all funds raised and canned goods collected will go towards fighting hunger and poverty America.

CCA is going to compete in the Regional Science bowl on Feb 19th at FIU.  This is a National competition sponsored by the Department of Energy and regional winners will get an expense paid trip to Washington DC for the National competition.  Any interested students should meet in Room 34031 during lunch TOMORROW for information.  There are 8 areas of specialty: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Math, Earth Science, General Science, and Computer Science.  We need 4 students who can cover 2 science areas each.  We will have playoffs to determine team members and team captain.  So pick your two top and join the fun!

Athletics News:

Varsity boys soccer opened the district tournament with a 2-1 victory over Posnack. Ryan Riley had a goal and assist. Vinnie O'Hare added the second goal. Next game is tonight at 5PM against Westminster Academy in the semi-finals.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

Why was there a bug in the computer?

It was looking for a byte to eat.
