High School News:

If you have a TA block for semester 2, please come to Guidance Today or Tomorrow before or during lunch or after school to get your TA assignment for next semester.

 

The Secondary library will be closed during lunch TODAY to celebrate those students who have read 5 or more lamplighters. If you are one of those students you will get an invitation from your homeroom teacher. There will be another lunch at the end of the 3rd quarter, so keep reading!

High School News:

Come and enjoy the Christmas spirit at our free musical event Night of Hope Band & Choral Concert presented by CCA students tonight at 7pm in the Calvary Chapel Theatre.

 

 

Club News:


The Drama Club and Chemistry Club will meet TOMORROW

Athletics News: 

 

Boys varsity soccer won 9-1 against Zion Lutheran. Ryan Riley had four goals and one assist. Both Tommy Ferrari and Emilio Blanco had two goals each.

 

JV Girls Basketball team beat Trinity Christian Academy 49-10 to improve their record to 6-1.  Alia Hammer led the team with 12 points.  They were able to pray with Trinity after the game and share with them God's incredible will for their life.

 

The varsity boys basketball team defeated Coral Springs Charter 45 to 36.  The eagles were led by Shawn Lashbrook's 15 points.

 

The JV boys basketball team lost to Coral Springs charter last night.... Gabe Tchividjian had 20 points in a losing cause.

December 14, 1853: Illinois Institute is begun by Wesleyan abolitionists. The school became Wheaton College after its president, Jonathan Blanchard, asked local landowner Warren Wheaton for a large property donation, offering to name the school after him and "save [his] heirs the expense of a good monument.
