High School News:

Attention seniors! Miss Stapleton will be available today during lunch in the Media Center Smart Lab to assist you with questions concerning your college applications.

The Secondary library media center will be closing TODAY at 3:15 due to a staff meeting.
Please plan accordingly.

If you have a desire to pray for our school and see revival come to CCA, join us Fridays during lunch in Ms. Klipfel's room to pray for your student body.

THE FIRST meeting of the National Honor Society will be held next TUESDAY, October 5, in Mrs. Brown's room, Room #32031.  The meeting begins at 11:15 sharp!  Bring a sack lunch.  Be on time!  All current NHS members are expected to attend!  That's Tuesday, room 32031, 11:15, current NHS members with a sack lunch!

ATHLETICS NEWS:  Go CCA Eagles!

The Girls Volleyball team lost against Westminster Christian yesterday, 0 games to 3. Jess Byrd had 4 kills, 4 digs, & 2 service points & Gabby Pyle had 5 digs, 1 service point and 1 ace. Both teams prayed on the center court after the match.

 

The JV volleyball team fell last night to Westminster Christian 25-17, 25-13.  Record 1-7.

Attention to all returning Varsity Softball players as well as those girls who would like play this Spring-  there will be a brief meeting TODAY in Mrs. Yates room after school. If you are interested in playing softball this year please come to this informative meeting

 

 

   CLUBS:


There is a mandatory Drama Club meeting TODAY for those auditioning for the Individual Event Festival from 3:00-3:30 in the black box. Auditions for the Individual Event Festival are October 12 -13 in the black box. Sign up for a time slot on the call board. You must be an active member of Drama Club to audition.

Chemistry Club will meet TODAY during lunch in the Mrs. Bernat's room, 24031

Photography Club will meet TODAY during lunch in Dr. Wormsley's room, 34028.  We will be discussing elections and club representatives.  Be sure to come to this important meeting if you are interested in joining.

Calvary JV Golf team lost to N. Broward Prep 166 - 188. Andrew Boynton led the team with a score of 43. Tyler Ray, Presley Hogan and Andrew Koelle rounded out the top 4 scorers for Calvary.

On this day in 1941, the Boston Red Sox's Ted Williams plays a double-header against the Philadelphia Athletics on the last day of the regular season and gets six hits in eight trips to the plate, to boost his batting average to .406 and become the first player since Bill Terry in 1930 to hit .400.
