 High School News:

The High School Awards ceremony will be TOMORROW night at 7:00pm in the Theater. Hors d'oeuvres will be served before the ceremony beginning at 6:15pm. Please register for this free event at ccaeagles.org under events.

Ladies who are planning to attend the Prom...although you were told earlier that a picture of you wearing your dress needed to be emailed for approval, it is no longer necessary do send that picture. Have fun shopping for your dress!

Attention rising 10th and 12th graders, if you are interested in being a student leader for next year's Bahamas Mission Trip, please remember to turn your application in to Mr. Ellis by Friday May 6th.

If you are planning on inviting a date to Prom that does not attend CCA please see Mrs. Barnett for the necessary paperwork.  Anyone not attending CCA must have the proper paperwork to attend.

We are looking for some students who would like to earn hours to go towards their trip to Mexico.  All you need to do is show up at 7:30 am or 3:00 pm and hold a sign to promote our Rummage Sale to Mexico.  If you are interested please meet Mrs. Barnett in the front of the Discipleship Building at one of those time slots.

Athletics News:

Calvary Christian Academy has won its first STATE CHAMPIONSHIP...

The CCA Track Team brought home the first ever state championship last Friday at the 1A State Track meet in Winter Park.  The girls 4X800 relay team, Emily Groeneveld, Allison Ridenour, Dominique Kelly, and Caroline Pauls won the gold medal with a time of 9:29.  Then, two more state championships were claimed by CCA.  Alia Hammer won the High Jump and the girls 4X400 relay team, Emily Groeneveld, Rachel Sieradzan, Caroline Pauls, and Dominique Kelly, finished the night with a blazing 4:00 time.  Congratulations to all the coaches and athletes on this amazing feat!

God continues to bless the CCA Lacrosse Team. Congratulations to Drew Anderson who will be honored this May 14th as an Academic All-American. Drew is one of 5 young men who will be so honored. His efforts and dedication both on and off the lacrosse field have and will continue to serve him well. Congratulations again to Drew and his family.
