GAME RESULTS REPORT

Date of game: 11/09/09

Head Coach: Marcel Bombonato

Team/LevelVarsity Girls Soccer

Opponent: Coral Springs Charter

Score0x3

CCA win or loss: Loss

Highlights:   A very though game for our Lady Eagles... goalie Alex Basey had already 10saves and we were down 0x1 by the end of the first half on a very windy day. Our opponents had amazing ball control, physical game and obviously faster players on the field. No matter what our forwards Karly Palmar and Jenna Johnson did, they kept the ball for seconds before it got stolen or cleared out. By the very last few minutes, CS Charter scored another goal, followed by their last goal, leading the score with 0x3. Goalie Alex Basey(20+saves) and the whole defense team, did their best to stop their offense, but it was not enough. Our Lady Eagles were outplayed on the field.

After the game we invited the guest team to a short devotional... at first the coach did not understand why but, after our team mixed with the opposing the, the coach gathered as well. Captain and Senior Megham Mason led devotional/gospel presentation followed by CCA coach's speech and prayer. The guest school participated in the prayer and some players had an opportunity to fellowship and exchange personal info. Our attitude was the same, whether we won the game or not, we are in Love with Jesus, our race is to win 'more' for him not the final score! verse for the day:  1 Cor 9:24-25

On This Day in History

November 10, 1871: After seven months of searching, American journalist Henry Stanley finally finds Scottish missionary David Livingstone in Ujiji, Central Africa, and utters his famous introduction, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume." November 10, 1908: Ten years after Samuel Hill and John Nicholson met in Boscobel, Wisconsin, to begin what would become Gideons International, the organization places its first Bible in a room at the Superior Hotel in Iron Mountains, Montana

The Word of God for the Day

Psalm 90:12   Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

The tech guys at Calvary came to work on my computer.  For one part of what they were doing they needed my password so I told them, "Micky, Minnie, Daffy, Donald, Grumpy, Sneezy and Snow White."  The tech guys seemed amazed and said, "You can't have a password that long!" I said, "But you guys said it had to be seven characters."
