GAME RESULTS REPORT
Date of game: 11/16/09
Head Coach: Marcel Bombonato
Team/Level: Varsity Girls Soccer
Opponent: ZION
Score: 4x1
CCA win or loss: WIN
Carli Deibel opened the score with a shot from outside of the area in the first half. I reminded the team about their desire to play, their passion for the Lord, and all sacrifice through last practice...and encouraged them to play a bit more 'together' in order to score more goals. Only 5 minute in the 2nd half, Karly Palmar score a goal...minutes later ZION score their goal...which lead out Lady eagles to shut the defense. Kaitlyn Webb and Karly Palmer score one goal each, leading the Eagles 4x1.
At the end of the match, I share 1 Cor 2:2 - "For I have determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ and Him crucified"....followed by prayer... the team connected one on one with the other players.... and i did with the coaches... Both team prayed, fellowship and broke down in laughter after the match. The coach from ZION said "this has been the best school we played so far, sportsmanship and Christ-like attitude displayed, well done coach." we went home knowing that God did something beyond soccer in our lives...

Date of game: 11/17/09
Head Coach: Marcel Bombonato
Team/Level: Varsity Girls Soccer
Opponent: Yeshiva
Score: 5x1
CCA win or loss: WIN
The team was fired-up for the match, and Carli Deibel, again, opened the score board with an amazing goal from out of the box. Over the half time break, I encouraged the team to stop looking for reason to be different, our team felt the aggressiveness on the field and different 'uniforms shapes'...but once more I reminded them to stay focus on their call. Karly Palmar score two goals, Kaitly Webb scored one, and Stephanie Segal scored one as well.
At the end of the match we lined up to shake hands with the opponent and I felt the aggressiveness on my own bare hands... also the school did not want to spend any time together after the match which some of our players were discouraged by it. Still Carli Deibel helped a player from Yeshiva to carry to water jugs out of the field.....Carli was supposed to share the Gospel that game, still, she served as an example, by a simple step in faith...she was able to talk and share laughter with a player for Yeshiva.
