Game Results - 8/25/10

Sport: Varsity Girls Volleyball
Opponents: Ransom Everglades & Marter Academy
Score: Ransom Everglades-CCA loses 19-25 & 24-26
             Marter Academy-CCA wins 25-18 & 25-18

Our Preseason Classic began with a loss and a win against two different opponents at Chaminade/Madonna. Top performers in a combination of 4 sets were: Bethany Taylor with 9 service points, 3 digs & 2 kills; Christine Lakatos with 9 kills, 5 service points & 5 digs, Jennie Wilkie offered 15 assists along with Emily Taylor with 10. Our regular season begins Tuesday August 31, against CSCA at 6:30pm, away.

 

Anyone interesting in playing Varsity or Junior Varsity baseball this Spring please go to an informational meeting TODAY after school in Leo Reilly's room (2281).

 

There will be an informative meeting for all high school boys interested in playing soccer. Meet Coach Smith TOMORROW at Lunchtime in the Commons.

 

Anyone interested in becoming a football team manager please see Coach Byerts in the PE department or athletics office.

Beauty for Ashes Dance Concert Auditions for High School have been moved to TOMORROW @3pm.

On this day in 1939, the first televised Major League baseball game is broadcast on station W2XBS, the station that was to become WNBC-TV. Announcer Red Barber called the game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, New York.
