On This Day in History

August 27-
The most powerful volcanic eruption in recorded history occurs on Krakatau (also called Krakatoa), a small, uninhabited volcanic island located west of Sumatra in Indonesia, on this day in 1883. Heard 3,000 miles away, the explosions threw five cubic miles of earth 50 miles into the air, created 120-foot tsunamis and killed 36,000 people.

The Word of God for the Day

Numbers 6:24-26
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

Today I changed a light bulb, then I crossed the road, then I walked into a bar.  It was then that I realized that my entire life is a joke.

A rubber band pistol was confiscated in algebra class yesterday.  It was a weapon of math disruption.
