High School News:

There will be a Thespian officer and committee chair meeting TODAY at 12:15 in the black box. Bring your lunch, binders and don't be late!

 

Any student planning on going to DC next fall MUST register on-line by this Friday April 30th. Please see your history teacher with any questions.

AP History Club will meet TODAY during lunch in Rooms 33021 and 33025

The Pin Heads will meet TODAY after school by the flag pole

ATHLETICS NEWS:  Go CCA Eagles!

 

Congratulations to Dominick Pierre who was awarded the high honor of the Brian Piccolo Award. This award is given to high school football players who are the finest scholar-athletes on the football field and who display excellence in the classroom. Way to go Dominick!

 

1. The CCA varsity softball team is hosting the regional quarterfinal game here at CCA tomorrow, Tuesday, at 4:00!! Please come out and show your support for the lady Eagles as they take on Glades Day School.

 

2. The track team competed in the Regional track competition last week and had a great meet against the 15 other schools in our region. 

 

The following athletes finished in the top 8 (scoring points for the team) in The Region 4 Track & Field Championship Meet:

VARSITY BASEBALL

mater lakes academy

2-1  win

  

The eagle baseball team finished their regular season schedule last Friday w/ a 2-1, 7th inning walk off victory over Mater Lakes Academy running their regular season record to 19- 5. Andrew liberty drove in Steven Barnett in the bottom of the 7th inning for the game winner. Chris Walkerow shifted the momentum w/ his dominating fastball in 2 innings of relief to earn the win. The eagles begin their district playoff run Tuesday afternoon @coral Springs Christian 4pm.

Attention 8th and 9th grade girls: If you are interested in trying out for JV cheerleading for the Fall Football cheerleading squad, please come to an informational meeting right after school TOMORROW, in the Commons area. If you have any questions you can stop by the athletics office.

 

Any boy grades 6-11 interested in playing lacrosse next year should come to an informational meeting on Wednesday April 28th at 12:10 at the east side of the cafeteria. The meeting will last approximately 15 minutes.
