On This Day in History

1773. The British Parliament passes the Tea Act, a bill designed to save the faltering East India Company by greatly lowering its tea tax and thus granting it a monopoly on the American tea trade. The low tax allowed the East India Company to undercut even tea smuggled into America by Dutch traders, and many colonists viewed the act as another example of taxation tyranny.

The Word of God for the Day

Psalm 73:23-26    Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

I was weed-eating my yard and accidentally cut off the tail of my cat who was hiding in the grass.

Of course, I immediately threw down the week wacker, grabbed my cat and rushed him, along with the tail, over to WAL-MART!

Why WAL-MART, you ask?? HELLOOOOOOOOO!

Don't you know that WALMART is the largest re-tailer in the world!
