High School News:
If you have a desire to pray for our school and see revival come to CCA, join us TODAY during lunch in Ms. Klipfel's room to pray for your student body.
CCA's Thespian Troupe 6817 will attend district evaluations TOMORROW at Coral Springs High School. Please remember them in prayer as they perform - shining their light for Christ to hundreds of other high school students, teachers and judges.
Students looking for community service hours: A local ranch "God's Little Acres" is in need of help working with the horses and helping entertain special needs children on the weekends. If you are interested please come to the Guidance office and let Mrs. Vargas know.
Journey, CCA's first literary magazine, is calling for entries. So if you want to show the world your art skills, enter Journey's Writing, Art, and Photography competition by December 1, 2010. The winners will be published in this beautiful, full color, glossy publication which will be published in the Spring of 2011. Originality plays a major role in all art competitions so make sure that you only send out your best work. For details, go to the CCA website's home page and click on the Journey icon.

For students interested in playing Lacrosse in the Spring, there will be Conditioning beginning on Nov 29th. Lacrosse information can be found on the Lacrosse page of the athletics website. Conditioning begins on Nov 29 and will continue Dec 1, 3, 6, and 10 from 3:15-5:00. Bring your stick if you have one and go to the west fields.
On This Day in History
November 19, 1863: at the dedication of a military cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, during the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln delivers one of the most memorable speeches in American history. In just 272 words, Lincoln brilliantly and movingly reminded a war-weary public why the Union had to fight, and win, the Civil War.
Reception of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address was initially mixed, divided strictly along partisan lines. Nevertheless, the "little speech," as he later called it, is thought by many today to be the most eloquent articulation of the democratic vision ever written.
