The Varsity cheerleaders competed in a local event last Saturday in Wellington. They were awarded first place in the small varsity high school division. In this particular competition the rankings were determined by scores rather than in comparison to other teams which is more difficult to achieve a first place. They had to achieve a certain score in each category in order to be awarded first. They displayed professionalism, purity, and clean, sharp skill as they competed in this primarily secular, all-star (non-school) competition. Come support them this weekend at the Miami Arena where they continue to compete for the glory of God.
On This Day in History
1889. Billy Sunday, baseball player-turned-evangelist, made his first appearance in Chicago as an evangelist. Over 100 million people are said to have heard him preach before he died in 1935
