April is National Library Month! To celebrate, the library is sponsoring a Bookmark Design Contest. You can use any medium you want from colored pencil to digital design. Attention all girls interested in trying out for cheerleading next year. There are new dates for the try-outs, which will be held for ALL girls, both middle and high, from April 18 to April 21st. April 5, 1614 - Pocahontas, daughter of the chief of the Powhatan Indian confederacy, marries English tobacco planter John Rolfe in Jamestown, Virginia. The marriage ensured peace between the Jamestown settlers and the Powhatan Indians for several years.
