High School News:

Attention HS students! Remember: You need a PASS to go the Library Media Center during lunch. You can get this pass from reception. If you do not have a pass, you can sign in on the clipboard at the circulation desk. You should not be "skipping" lunch to go to the library. Please eat BEFORE you come and use the library for school related activities only. If HS students continue to abuse this privilege, they will not be allowed to visit the library during lunch.

If you are planning on inviting a date to Prom that does not attend CCA please see Mrs. Barnett for the necessary paperwork.  Anyone not attending CCA must have the proper paperwork to attend.

The High School Awards ceremony will be Tuesday, May 3 at 7:00pm in the Theater. Hors d'oeuvres will be served before the ceremony beginning at 6:15pm. Please register for this free event at ccaeagles.org under events.

On This Day in History

The British Parliament passes the Tea Act, a bill designed to save the faltering East India Company by greatly lowering its tea tax and thus granting it a monopoly on the American tea trade. The low tax allowed the East India Company to undercut even tea smuggled into America by Dutch traders, and many colonists viewed the act as another example of taxation tyranny.

The Word of God for the Day

Psalm 119:133
Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

Teacher asked her class who can correctly use the work I in a sentence.
Little Johnny - "I is."
Teacher - "Wrong! You cannot start a sentence with I is.
Little Johnny "but my sentence is I is the 9th letter in the alphabet.
