The National Honor Society is collecting old cell phones for the Women of Distress in Broward County. Any old phone in any old condition is welcome! Please bring phones to Mr. Ozolnieks or look for the box in the CCA reception area.
On Saturday April 16th the 8th grade is having a CAR Wash fund raiser at the Chick Fil A in Coral Springs from 11-4. Please come out and support next year's 8th grade Bahamas Missions trip.
Athletics News:
Varsity baseball won the twelfth game Saturday vs Coral Springs Christian 8-0 Another quality start by Senior Seth Natal. Chris Walkerow completed a shut out throwing two and 1/3 solid innings in relief. The Eagles were led offensively by Anthony Avila who went three for four hitting two RBI's. Eagles are back in action Monday at Highlands Christian at 7pm.
The Varsity Girls Softball team beat Monsignor Pace on Friday with a final score of 2-0. Key players were Shelby Gilreath and Suzi Trick who were both 2 for 3 with a stolen base and Katie Gottfried who pitched 13 strikeouts. We had a nice time of prayer around the pitching mound after the game.

Attention all girls interested in trying out for cheerleading next year. There are new dates for the try-outs, which will be held for ALL girls, both middle and high, from April 18 to April 21st. Please go out to the west fields on April 18th for the first day of practice. For additional information you may contact Coach Reeder or the Athletics office.
Tomorrow is SENIOR DAY for the CCA Eagles softball team. At 4PM on the softball field, CCA will honor five seniors - Jessica Schoonover, Jessica Leutzinger, Amanda Romagnolo, Deborah Gordon, and Monica Quijano - before the team takes on American Heritage Delray.
We are asking that ALL staff and students to come out to the softball field at 3:45p to support these amazing five young ladies as we celebrate their participation athletically and recognize their growth spiritually.

On April 11, 1970, Apollo 13, the third lunar landing mission, is successfully launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying astronauts James A. Lovell, John L. Swigert, and Fred W. Haise. The spacecraft's destination was the Fra Mauro highlands of the moon, where the astronauts were to explore the Imbrium Basin and conduct geological experiments.
