High School News:

YES! the library is open before school and during lunch for your convenience. YES! you have to have a pass to visit. (only one per group, if applicable). It's easy! Go by reception and pick one up. Please remember it is not a locker pass; you should not be in the hallways or any other classroom. Please return all passes to the library or CCA reception, as we are missing a few. Thanks!

Please note that Chapel will be in the Sanctuary TODAY due to the Theatre being set up for Great Expectations.

If you have a desire to pray for our school and see revival come to CCA, join us TODAY during lunch in Ms. Klipfel's room to pray for your student body.

The High School Fall Drama "Great Expectations" opens TONIGHT in the Theatre.  Don't forget to buy your tickets online.  This is a show you will not want to miss!

ATHLETICS NEWS:  Go CCA Eagles!

The Girls Varsity Volleyball team won against Sagemont yesterday, 3 games to 0. Top performers were Daylyn Weppner, Jennie Wilkie and Christine Lakatos. The score were 25-22, 25-19 & 25-13. Excellent job Eagles!

Congratulations to the JV volleyball team on their big win against Sagemont last night 25-23, 21-25, 15-9.  The girls battled back after missing two players and losing the second game to win the final set.    CLUB NEWS:

Activities Council, Discipleship Council, and Advisory Council will meet TODAY in Dr. Wormsley's room, 34028

On This Day in History

October 8, 451: The Council of Chalcedon opens to deal with the Eutychians, who believed Jesus could not have two natures. His divinity, they believed, swallowed up his humanity "like a drop of wine in the sea." The council condemned the teaching as heresy and created a confession of faith which has since been regarded as the highest word in Christology.

The Word of God for the Day

1 Timothy 4:12    Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

A policeman stops a lady and asks for her license. He says "Lady, it says here that you should be wearing glasses."
The woman answered "Well, I have contacts."
The policeman replied "I don't care who you know! You're getting a ticket!"
