High School News:

The Homecoming Social on Saturday the 23rd is at the Bahia Mar Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. In order to participate, you must register online and pay a $5 fee. Also, a signed covenant must be turned in to your homeroom teacher by Wednesday, October 20th in order for you to get in to the Social.

ATHLETICS NEWS:  Go CCA Eagles!

Our Varsity Eagles Volleyball team won against Coral Springs Charter, 3 games to 0. The scores were 25-15, 25-22, 25-10. It was Senior night and "Sailor" Daylyn Weppner and "Princess" Jeri Kendall were honored. Two Seniors from the opposing team also received recognition. Both teams prayed together after the game.

 

The girls JV volleyball team lost last night to Coral Springs Charter School.  Scores were 25-21, 10-25, 11-15.  The team did have five team blocks which is a season high.  The girls play their final match of the season against Chaminade Thursday at 5:00.

The varsity girls cross country team improved their record to an incredible 25-2 yesterday coming in 1st place in a race for the third time this season. The ladies defeated Sagemont, Coral Springs Chr., Highlands, Sheridan, and Somerset. Allison Ridenour finished 1st place overall with a time of 23:24 while Noel Picinich, Kala Hennessey, Karin Sastre, and Rachel Fairbanks all finished in the top 10.

 

The varsity boys cross country team improved their record yesterday as well to 21-6 as they placed 2nd over all in their race. Chaney Oswell finished 4th overall with a time of 18:49 while John Bartos, Patrick Sastre, Ulises Garcia, and Jim Shawver rounded out CCA's top 5.

Try outs for girls basketball are in the gym on Monday October 25th. This is for all MS and HS girls who want to play basketball.
