High School News:

As a follow up to Pastor Bob's charge to "live for Christ, die for your brother", we are asking all freshman, sophomore, and junior boys to please remain in the theater after chapel TODAY to hear from a special guest with passionate insight into manhood and ministry, competition and community. The students will be dismissed at 11:30am and given a few grace minutes to complete their lunch.

If you have a desire to pray for our school and see revival come to CCA, join us TODAY during lunch in Ms. Klipfel's room to pray for your student body.

All 9th grade students wishing to audition for the Fine Arts Endorsement should pick up an application in the Performing Arts Office.  Applications are due TODAY.  Auditions will be held the week of March 7-10.

Johnny Jones and Tribe of Shrews will be putting on a concert TONIGHT at 8:00pm. The tickets are $5.00 and all proceeds go to help F.I.G.H.T. club. Tickets will be available at the Hub during lunch or after school around the Discipleship Building. For tickets go to Johnny Jones, Miranda Thomas, Bethany Taylor or a Tribe of Shrews member. They would love to see your support.

CCA's March Jean Day will be on Wednesday, March 30th instead of March 25th!

This change is needed due to Freshmen/Sophomore retreats. Please continue to provide your Homeroom Teachers with $2.00 to participate in this Jean's Day.

All proceeds will be used by Mrs. Peyton's small group to purchase Diapers for His Caring Place! Note your calendars....Wednesday, March 30th is Jean's Day for our Secondary School! Let's enjoy some jean comfort and provide dry diapers for God's little ones!

On This Day in History

On March 4, 1933, at the height of the Great Depression, Franklin Delano Roosevelt is inaugurated as the 32nd president of the United States. In his famous inaugural address, delivered outside the east wing of the U.S. Capitol, Roosevelt outlined his "New Deal"--an expansion of the federal government as an instrument of employment opportunity and welfare--and told Americans that "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

The Word of God for the Day

Romans 12:21 - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

An Amish boy and his father were in a mall for the first time. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.
The boy asked, "What is this Father?"

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is"

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a rather heavy, old lady walked up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady walked in between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially. They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and a beautiful 24-year-old blonde woman stepped out.

The father said quietly to his son....."Go get your mother."
