Athletics News:

The CCA Lacrosse team traveled up to John I Leonard High School Friday evening March 11 for a showdown with the Lancers. The Eagles exploded out to a 7-1 lead and the Lancers were unable to slow the Eagles. The Eagles were victorious with a 10-2 victory. A contingent of parents and friends made the trip to cheer on the Eagles. While we shared a moment after the game and were thankful for our victory we also prayed for the safety and recovery of the people of Japan.

The CCA Lacrosse team hosted Park Vista on Monday the 14th. After starting out without much action the game heated up. Park Vista eventually pulled away and defeated CCA 15-1. Both teams shared a prayer at our midfield on a beautiful South Florida day.

On Friday March 18th the CCA Lacrosse team traveled north to Boca Raton to play the Boca High JV Lacrosse team. It was a spectacularly sunny and clear day. While CCA was down by just 2 goals at the end of the 1st quarter the Boca High team was able to pull away. The final score was 16-0. Both teams shared at the midfield which was a sight to behold.

On This Day in History

March 21, 1980 - President Jimmy Carter announces that the U.S. will boycott the Olympic Games scheduled to take place in Moscow that summer. The announcement came after the Soviet Union failed to comply with Carter's February 20, 1980, deadline to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan.

The Word of God for the Day

Galatians 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day
