ATHLETICS NEWS: Go CCA Eagles!
JV Football WON 33-0 over Pope John Paul. The defense had their second consecutive shutout. Dawson Allen, Dovi Gamble, Spencer Saliba and Mayy Ngyuen had touchdowns. JV football improved to 2-0 on the year.
Girl's Varsity Golf vs. St. Thomas Loss 164-204
The girl's golf team improved their team score by 30 shots in a loss to St. Thomas yesterday at Palm Aire. Allison Ridenour led the Lady Eagles with a 43, followed by Shelby and Emily Groeneveld's 45 and 50.
The Boys Varsity Golf Team fell to Coral Springs Christian yesterday 146-169. Leading the way for CCA was Jake Middlebrooks with a carrier LOW score of even par 36. Other scores included Zack Mindez 43, Robby Stehlin 45, & Derek Butts 45.
The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team won against Parkway in 3 matches: 25-7; 25-4 & 25-5. Daylyn Weppner had 3 kills, Emily Taylor had 9 assists & Caitlin Coartney had 8 service points. Both teams prayed together and honored Him for all he has done for us.

FINE ARTS:
The CCA Film Festival premiers TONIGHT at 7pm in the Theatre. Don't miss this amazing showcase of current and former student films and video projects. Awards will be presented in various categories. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
Florida X (Florida Expeditions) WILL NOT meet today. It is rescheduled for Tuesday @ lunch in Mrs. Quinn's Room.

September 10- On this day in 1897, a 25-year-old London taxi driver named George Smith becomes the first person ever arrested for drunk driving after slamming his cab into a building. Smith later pled guilty and was fined 25 shillings.
