High School News:

High School Chapel will be held TODAY in different locations.  Please meet your grade level at the following location:

 

9th grade - Attic

10th grade - Green Room

11th grade - Chapel - located by the banquet hall across from the Auditorium

12th grade - Theater


If you have a desire to pray for our school and see revival come to CCA, join us

during lunch in Ms. Klipfel's room to pray for your student body.

The Florida Christian College Fair is on Wednesday, September 22nd from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Gymnasium. This is a great time to meet with college admissions representatives from many Christian Colleges and gain important information regarding your future. For a list of the schools that will be represented, please see the guidance portion of the CCA website. If you have any questions, please see Miss Stapleton or Mrs. Getty. See you then! 

 

ATHLETICS NEWS:  Go CCA Eagles!

The varsity girls golf team lost to Cardinal Gibbons yesterday, but Allison Ridenour broke her own school record with a nine-hole score of 39!

 

The varsity boys golf team fell to Jupiter Christian yesterday 173-186.  Leading the way for CCA was Zach Mindez with a 45.  Other scores included Robby Stehlin 45, Tyler Weber 47 & Derek DiScipio 48.   

 

The Lady Eagles Varsity Volleyball team won against Highlands Christian yesterday, 4 games to 1. Gabby Pyle had 12 digs, 9 Service points, Caitlin Coartney had 5 service points & 3 digs and Jeri-Nicole Kendall had 5 kills. Our God moment was during warm-up, Shelby Rush, a player from Highlands, injured her knee. Our team prayed for her immediately and unfortunately, she was unable to play the game. Both teams prayed together after the match.

 

Eagles JV volleyball team lost a tough match against Highlands Christian Thursday evening.  The lady eagles pushed Highlands who was undefeated to a tight 3rd game of the match but ended up losing 15-11.  The girls gave it their best and look forward to next week when they face WA at home.

September 17, 1787:
The Constitution of the United States of America is signed by 38 of 41 delegates present at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia.

 

1976, NASA publicly unveils its first space shuttle, the Enterprise, during a ceremony in Palmdale, California. Development of the aircraft-like spacecraft cost almost $10 billion and took nearly a decade. In 1977, the Enterprise became the first space shuttle to fly freely when it was lifted to a height of 25,000 feet by a Boeing 747 airplane and then released, gliding back to Edwards Air Force Base on its own accord.
