ATHLETICS NEWS: Go CCA Eagles!
JV volleyball team lost their first match in a close game to CSCA Tuesday 25-23, 25-22. The girls played tough but it just wasn't our day. Our first home match is Thursday Sept 2nd against Palmer Trinity.
Varsity Girls Volleyball vs CSCA
CCA won Score: 3-0; 25-15, 25-11, & 25-14
The Lady Eagles won their first match of the season against Coral Spring Christian Academy. Key performers were: Christine Lakatos with 13 kills, 2 service points & 1 block, Emily Taylor had 10 assists, 3 service points & 1 ace. Caroline Pauls had 10 service points, 7 aces & 5 digs. Finally, Gabby Pyle had 4 aces & digs, 1 service point & kill. Good Job Ladies!

The boys varsity golf team lost their 1st match of the year in a sudden death playoff with University School. Senior Ty Middlebrooks lost in the 1st hole of the playoff. The boys are now 0-1 on the season.

September 1- Richard Penn and Arthur Lee, representing the Continental Congress, present the so-called Olive Branch Petition to the Earl of Dartmouth on this day in 1775. Britain's King George III, however, refused to receive the petition, which, written by John Dickinson, appealed directly to the king and expressed hope for reconciliation between the colonies and Great Britain.
