Anyone still wishing to audition for 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat' should plan to do so immediately after school TOMORROW in the Black Box. Those who have already auditioned should watch the Call Board today for Call Backs.
Attention all National Honor Society APPLICANTS - Please remember that your completed application packets are due TOMORROW, FEB 10. Turn in all blue forms and essays to Mrs. Brandecker, room 33020. Also, if you have questions regarding the obligations of being a member of NHS please stop by Mrs. Brandecker's room for clarification.
Liberty University will be visiting CCA on Tuesday February 15th during block 1. If you are interested in attending this event, please register with Mrs. Vargas in the Guidance Department.

Athletics News:
Our CCA Eagles Varsity Baseball team got off to a great start by winning 19-0 against Boyd Anderson in the First Pitch Classic hosted by North Broward Prep. Emilio DeSylva hit two grand slams and Knox Poole threw a shut out 10 pitch inning!
The Calvary Lacrosse Team opened the scoring and never looked back, in winning the first game of the inaugural year in front of a very supportive home crowd. A well played game and an entire team effort. We shared a moment of prayer with the Coral Springs Christian Team after the game. We are looking forward to many more exciting games.

TODAY there will be an additional try-out for the new boys Lacrosse team. Try-outs are for one day only, tomorrow after school, from 3 to 5 on the west fields. Bring any equipment you have, but it is not necessary.
TOMORROW CCA will be hosting the girls basketball regional quarterfinals in the CCA gym at 7 PM. The girls are the district champions and hope to advance Thursday when they play The Benjamin School. This is also a state series game so there is a mandatory charge for all entrants of $6.

On This Day in History
On this day in 1971, pitcher Leroy "Satchel" Paige becomes the first Negro League veteran to be nominated for the Baseball Hall of Fame. In August of that year, Paige, a pitching legend known for his fastball, showmanship and the longevity of his playing career, which spanned five decades, was inducted. Joe DiMaggio once called Paige "the best and fastest pitcher I've ever faced."
