On This Day in History
The Passion of the Christ, a film about the last 12 hours of Jesus of Nazareth's life, opens in theaters in the United States on this day in 2004, which was also Ash Wednesday, the first day of the Catholic season of Lent.
The Word of God for the Day
Galatians 6:7, 8 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day
Patient: It's been one month since my last visit and I still feel miserable.
Doctor: Did you follow the instructions on the medicine I gave you?
Patient: I sure did. The bottle said "keep tightly closed."
