GAME RESULTS REPORT

3/13
JV Baseball

CCA vs North Broward Prep
CCA- 5. NBP-0

CCA JV Baseball shuts out North Broward Prep

LJ Dutton leads CCA JV Baseball to its first victory, LJ pitched four faultless no hitter innings, followed up by Luke Porier's 3 no hitter innings.

Defensive plays included a double play by LJ Dutton, assisted by Jeremy Viveros and Luke Porier. Chandler Davis and Jonathan Gregory made many plays at middle infield.

CCA's outfielders played a perfect game. Matt Jones had two diving catches, Pierce Gainey and Knox Poole also made outstanding catches.

CCA's "fearless hitting motto" was exemplified with outstanding performances throughout the entire line up. Including Luke Porier's lead off double, Josh Viveros' 2 RBI double and Jonathan Gregory's 2 RBI single.

Two special moments:

1)      Eddie Holm sacrificed his ability to re-enter the entire game to substitute run allowing just one chance for CCA to score. Coach explained it was a big sacrifice, Eddie jumped up put on his helmet and said "I will do it Coach". This is CCA's heart at its finest.

2)      After the game we asked and prayed on the field with the entire NBP team.

VARSITY BASEBALL

CCA vs Pinecrest

CCA WIN  9-7

The CCA Varsity baseball team stayed unbeaten over the weekend with a come from behind 9-7 win at Pine Crest. The Eagles fell behind 4-0 before starting the comeback in the fifth inning. Tyler Middlebrooks doubled and scored on a Ryan Reilly double. The Eagles loaded the bases but Taylor Gushue flied out to deep left to end the inning. But CCA came back with two runs in the sixth when Andrew Liberty doubled home Anthony Avila and Seth Natal.

Pine Crest appeared to have put the game out of reach with a two run home run to expand their lead to 6-3. However, the Eagles tied the game in the 7th. Gushue drove in DeSilva, Avila drove in Gushue and Dalton DiNatale to send the game in to extra innings.

Taylor Gushue hit the first pitch of the ninth inning into the Pine Crest pond to give CCA the lead for the first time. Luke Jackson followed with another home run, his first of the year. Middlebrooks doubled again and Nick Kumar doubled him in to make it 9-6. The Eagles held on in the ninth to win 9-7.

VARSITY BASEBALL

CCA vs Boca High

CCA WIN 14-9

The CCA Varsity baseball team pulled off the improbable come from behind win on Monday against Boca Raton High School. Down 9-7 with three outs remaining, the Eagles fought and scrapped for seven runs to win the game 14-9 and remain unbeteaten on the season!

There were a lot of heroes on the day. Seth Natal and Taylor Gushue homered and had two hits each. Dalton DiNatale had three hits including a game tying double and then scored the go ahead run in the last inning. Emilio DeSilva drove in a run, scored and stole two bases. Luke Jackson pitched three innings, had a hit and scored. Tyler Middlebrooks scored twice. Anthony Avila had a hit a run and an RBI. Andrew Liberty had a hit and scored. Ryan Reilly had two RBI and two runs scored, and Luke Poirier caught Taylor Gushue in the last 2 innings as that battery posted 2 scoreless innings.
