On This Day in History

1958 - American Christian apologist C.S. Lewis confessed in Letters to an American Lady: "What most often interrupts my own prayers is not great distractions-but tiny ones-things one will have to do or avoid in the course of the next hour."

On March 31, 1889, the Eiffel Tower is dedicated in Paris in a ceremony presided over by Gustave Eiffel, the tower's designer, and attended by French Prime Minister Pierre Tirard, a handful of other dignitaries, and 200 construction workers.

The Word of God for the Day

Deuteronomy 31:8    The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

The Official CCA Bad Joke of the Day

I told my doctor I broke my leg in two places.  He told me to quit going to those places.
