High School News:
Attention all students: Mexico Fund raising has started. There will be four jars during lunch: two in the Commons, and two in the Hub. Please stop by and help your junior class raise funds for this trip. These jars pit Pastor Topher against Mr. Davis to wear a goofy costume all day on Friday.
Attention All Seniors: There is a mandatory meeting for all seniors to discuss Graduation TOMORROW during block 1 in Room 32002. Please come prepared to share your Graduation bible verse for announcements as well as get fitted for caps and gowns.
Online scheduling for the 2010-11 school year will start on March 22. All students must schedule online via NetClassroom. If you do not have access to NetClassroom or you have forgotten your password, email Ms Hahn at LindaH@ccaeagles.org to request your password. In addition, assistance with NetClassroom will be available in lab 34017 during the following times:
- Afterschool TODAY from 3:00-4:00
- Monday, March 15th at lunch
- Afterschool on Wednesday, March 17th from 3:00-4:00
Class of 2010: We are getting closer and closer to Graduation!! Please make sure all your service hours forms are turned into Guidance Office by March 31, 2010. Right now, some of you are short of the Graduation requirement. Come by and check your total to make sure you have enough to graduate! Finish Well, Finish Strong!
Fine Arts Endorsement Applications are ready for pick up in the Fine Arts Office throughout this week. Students will need to complete and turn in by March 17th.

Athletics News: Go CCA Eagles!

The annual "Night of Champions" basketball tournament is this Friday, March 12! Come to the gym at 4:00 and watch the girls varsity basketball team will take on the CCA coaches and staff; at 5:00 the boys varsity team will play the coaches and staff, and at 6:30 come and watch CCA and Calvary Chapel play for the annual championship trophy. Bring $2 to get in, as the proceeds will support the basketball mission trip to N. Africa.

High School announcement
The girl's tennis team defeated Boca Christian yesterday by a score of 5-2. Isabela Umana was a double winner with wins in the singles and doubles. Camila Yalale, Miranda Thomas, and Laura Antia each scored a team point by winning their singles matches.

Some fielding errors caused Chaminade to pull ahead of Calvary in the 4th and 5th innings. Lady Eagles had some strong hits but it wasn't enough to defeat the opponent.

1823 - Death of George Mueller. Carried on mission work among the Jews, but is better remembered for the work he did among the poor children of England. During his 93 years, he is said to have cared for more than 10,000 orphans.
1876 - On this day, the first discernible speech is transmitted over a telephone system when inventor Alexander Graham Bell summons his assistant in another room by saying, "Mr. Watson, come here; I want you." Bell had received a comprehensive telephone patent just three days before.
